A long time resident on Frederick Road this is the place to come for crabs. They are steaming hot and perfectly cooked. They serve crabs year round. The rest of the regular menu is excellent with huge portions of food. The potato skins are incredible. Possibly the best orange crush in town too. Very friendly crowd.
My wife wanted crabs and Ship's was recommended by her coworker. We ordered cream of crab soup and a dozen XL crabs. The soup and crabs were great. Our crabs were hot, heavy and seasoned well. We only ate 1/2 a dozen before we tapped out. My wife did say next time she will request a little more seasoning. Last but not least our server Brandi was fantastic and we will be back.
My friend and I came here last Sunday and we enjoyed our food, drinks and the great customer service from the awesome bartender on duty. I forgot her name, but I know she's engaged and getting married soon. Ships has always been nice. The only disappointment was the removal of one of my favorite menu items. The crab and corn fritters. Otherwise the food is yummy.
The sandwiches with french fries are really affordable. The shrimp tacos are delicious (can add a little more veggies & shrimp). The corned beef sandwich is scrumptious (lettuce, tomatoes , fried onions , melted cheese , mayo on toasted kaiser roll). My mate enjoyed the (Long Island Ice Tea). The steamed crabs are scrumptious. Only 1 (one) check per table. Each person paid their taxes & separate gratuity of 18% on their order. My bill came to $112.00 (final cost $143.00) with taxes & gratuity. (I think the gratuity & taxes) is being paid... 10 times over if each person is taxed this way.
I really enjoyed dining here!! First time having Maryland Blue Crabs I’m from the Gulf Coast. We do blue crabs differently!! I enjoyed all of the dishes we had !!
